I modded my old pro tubes to a PTP JCM800.. wasn't a fan of the stock circuit. Super woofy. I like what you did though, mod sounds good with this amp. I feel it doesn't take single coils the best and that the strat clips were a bit ear piercing and hyped in the high end but with a humbucker it is flavour country.

This is true about the old Pro Tubes, they all sound very flubby in there stock form.
I didn't change the dials when I plugged in the Strat but I think it could have sound better if I spent more time dialing it in more.
I like the clean tones with the Strat mostly though.

Your vids are always awesome. My friend had a laney 1-12 combo in the late 80's it was tube. I loved that amp! I really like the sizzle in the mid and top end of this one that you modded.

I think that's a big part of the sound I'm after as a amp modder, that mid-range sizzle is so important to me.
