This is a super clean, hand-wired, 1971 Marshall Super Tremolo 100W modified with my Bay Area Thrash (V2) mod. The Super Trem amps are essentially 1959 Super Lead circuits with an additional tremolo circuit in front. This amp has all original iron, including the highly coveted "Plexi" Dagnall C1998 output transformer and original power transformer that puts out a whopping 515V on the plates under load.

This mod utilizes the trem circuit's 12AX7 for a total of five cascaded gain stages, similar to a Langner mod (single input only). However, this particular amp has been updated with new filter caps, additional filtering, and a number of other changes to the mod that give it more oomph and aggression. Additionally, in place of the stock tremolo controls for speed and intensity, the amp now has a variable NFB control and Depth control.

No extra holes drilled in the face plate or back plate!

On the back, two of the speaker outputs have been utilized for a passive FX loop send/return.

Obviously, the tremolo footswitch jack is no longer operable.

The amp works without any issues and comes loaded with your choice of JJ EL34 II or 6CA7 and Ruby 12AX7AC5 HG, HG+, and Sovtek LPS in the preamp. I also have a large stash of NOS tubes available: RFT EL34 and Siemens, Mullard, Tungsram, RFT, and Ei ECC83/12AX7.

I don't have a clip of this specific amp just yet, but here's a clip of an 800 that has the same exact mod (It will sound a little different due to the different iron).
