Has anyone swapped out the top Greenbacks for Creamback M65's in their Friedman or Bogner cabs? If so what were to tonal differences between the Greens and Creams on top? I'm wondering if the bass will be too boomy cause I definatly don't want to add more bass to the Friedman 4x12. I'm about 60/40 leaning towards keeping the Greenbacks and the cab stock, but I've had two Creamback M65s just sitting around here in my jam room for over a year.

Any tips or suggestions would help. I've tried them in a Splawn 4x12 with Splawn 55 speakers all in X pattern, and I've tried them both in my OS2x12 Bogner, actually liked the stock speaker config in each of those cabs. Now I'll give them one more shot in the top of the Friedman 4x12 or a new small sized 2x12.

I don't have the Bogner or Friedman cabs, but a lovely old Marshall 1960av... I replaced two of the stock V30's with Greenbacks... I loved the Greenbacks, and began to not like the mix with the V30's - tried to x-pattern and then the Greenies on top.

Replaced the bottom two V30's with two G12M65 Creambacks and LOVE it.

I don't know if that's helpful, but I totally dig the Creamback/Greenback mix... the V30 felt like an entirely different EQ 'curve' and much prefer the blend I now have...
