Part of me wants some of the “historic” cast iron pieces (Griswold, etc,), but the rest of me knows that it won’t cook my ribeye any better than a Lodge branded cast iron skillet from the big box store. There are some specialty Griswold pieces (deep chicken fryer and a large, covered Dutch oven) that I would write a check for, but for standard stuff, a well-seasoned Lodge works just as well…
On a related note, I’ve been wanting to get the right wheels and pads, break out the angle grinder and throw a mirror finish on a generic Lodge frying pan to see if it makes any difference. They look cool, but
