Airbourne are just 80s metal AC/DC right?

This sounds great, really dig it. Feels like an 80's hair metal band with a little ACDC thrown in.

I'll never forget, one mild summer day I was cruising in my Mustang, windows down, blasting this tune thru the Shaker 500 sound system. Couple chics pulled up next to me at a stop light and we were all smiles at each other. For a brief moment, I felt 17 again:

I love AC/DC and should dig these guys but I just can’t. There’s a cheese factor to it that just makes it unbearable. For some it obviously works but when people say they’re the next AC/DC I die a little inside. Also there’s been probabaly 10, the next AC/DC’s since the 80’s and AC/DC outlasted all of them.

Gives me a Krokus, Kix and overall 80s vibe. Agreed about the cheese factor, but its fun. I also dig the really bad horror movies. Its all good.

Come on man, "Long Stick Goes Boom" from Krokus still rawks! Top 10 AC/DC song by not-AC/DC easily. :p🤘

(But I totally get you...never cared that much for Rose Tattoo either...always sounded like they couldn't chose between AC/DC and southern rock, just did the booze and forgot the cocaine and the real talent....)

Great band, high energy. Just dudes jammin, love it

There's always this AC-DC cover band influenced band if you like that sound. The guitarist, Greg Fields, even went on to ruin the recordings of some of the world biggest bands.

You mean Greg Fidelman? If so, yes he did.

You can get close on the guitar sounds but it's always the songwriting and arrangements where AC/DC can't be topped

I dug these guys for a minute but they fizzled out after this album came out and I only really find this particular song re-listenable. A lot of the album is pretty repetitive though. I really like the lead ones on it though. But stuff like this was a breath of fresh air back in '90/91 as much as I was into metal at the time. I didn't care for Razor's Edge so there was an opening for some more old school rock. Black Crowes didn't do it for me on their first one.

This one's pretty good too

I really dug this album too, from the same time period. Brendan O'Brien did this one
