Help me out here. It seems that DCs with HH configuration are not exactly common. The new Epiphone DCs definitely fit the bill, but I'm apparently a snob and won't even look at one because of the name on the headstock.

So far, I've come up with:
  • Knaggs Keya - it doesn't look like this is an exact copy of the LP DC body, but it's cool.
  • Hamer SATFW - I've never played a Hamer and know nothing about the brand, but these came up in my searches and look decent.
What are the MiJ alternatives I need to learn about? Burny, Greco, Tokai, Edwards. How do I search these on Reverb? Is Heritage an option? What model? I'm so bad at searching these things for some reason.

What doesn't work:
  • Collings 290 only comes with P90s
  • Eastman SB comes with a single P90
  • Epiphone DC - I'm a snob.
  • Yamaha SG1000 - ugly.
I absolutely love the Gibson LP DC in Cobra burst, but it's like 5k. Used prices on this are 3500, which is about 1000 more than I want to spend. There's an Iverness Green Custom Shop DC at CME but it's literally $6200 so miss me with that bullshit also. There are definitely some decent Gibson options on Reverb, but I'm curious about what else is out there.

Yea, right. It's not just the name, it's also the shape. It's horrible.

I will throw out that one of the issues I encountered with the LP Double Cut (carved top type....) is that because of how deep the neck sits in the body the neck pickup is in a different spot than say a traditional Les Paul, and for sure it sounds different. If the neck pup and / or two pickup combo tones aren't big on your list then its not a big deal. If you can swing it I would try to track a Hamer 25th Anniversary Artist ($1200 - 1600) or a Hamer Special

i dont know if LTD is below the poverty line, but my PB500 is great for an LP'ish thing, big maple top, Duncan Alinco II's you can split. i dig it more than my LP standard

Bro, I buy with my eyeballs and nothing else. Unless the neck pickup is in one zip code and the headstock is in another, I think I'ma be good lol.
Are all of those Hamers semi-hollows?

I actually kinda love this, but this is more Schecter Tempest'y than LP DC to me.

Holy shit no. Gtfo. That's an awful suggestion and you should feel bad.
You want guitars shaped like a LP double cut from non-Gibson manufacturers, that's what you get. Maybe you didn't really want that after all?

I have no idea what anything means lol
I don’t know shit about guitars. Lol
Isn’t that weird

Hello there good sir. I am potentially interested in purchasing a guitar shaped like a Les Paul Double Cutaway configured with two humbucking pickups. Would you happen to know anything about that kind fellow?

They are cool . Ok . I’ve played one . They would be great for all kinds of shit imo

I sold a Les Paul Studio Double Cut after I got the Jarretts. The Forza would be right up your alley, but good luck finding one.

I recently bought the CS version and am getting to know it. So far, I love it!

I went through a couple PRS McCarty 594 guitars to scratch my itch for a lighter LP alternative and they never sounded good. This Gibson is MUCH better sounding to me.
