Alexi Laiho=Tampa Bay DEVIL Rays fan

I was looking through an old thread at HC, and stumbled upon these pictures of Alexi Laiho. And it got me wondering how the hell he became a fan of the Devil Rays, since I know people from Tampa Bay that don't even like them. I always thought I was their only fan. Guess not.....

On a side note, fuck the rest of the American League, go Devil Rays

Oh and did you see Rich Harden's debut with the Cubs today? 5.1 innings, 5 hits, 0 runs, 3 BB's, and 10 K's. Pretty impressive stuff.

The other day on ESPN some guys were talking about how Rich Harden is the best pitcher in baseball when he is healthy. I thought that might be a bit drastic, but he is pretty lights out when he is in good health.

Alexi Laiho... here's a guy who's nothing special,but thinks he's god's gift to the guitarists world and has the nerve to cut down the greatness of "true" guitar heroes,such as Lynch,Vai,Page,EVH(i've read him bashing/demeaning these guys in various magazine articles)...he may be good,but he needs to remember who's better(and who was doing it even before some small "part" of him ran down his pappy's leg)!

I have never seen any quotes from him bashing those guys(not doubting you) but if it is true then, yes, he needs to stop being a douche. Especially since COB's last 2 albums suck.

yeah,the last guitar-guy i saw Alexi "bash" was Steve Vai(i believe it was in GW mag),and i cant remember the exact words he used,but,even not being a big Vai fan,i was surprised at what Alexi said and remembered laughing & thinking "what the heck has this guy done on the guitar",compared to what Vai has done over the years...it's not that i hate Alexi,and i'm not trying to piss anyone off on this forum who might like him alot,but i just dont see what's so great about his playing ability or his band,for that matter,and where they've made some big contribution to the "metal" world or set themselves apart from the "sea" of other bands,currently,out there(and i love everything from 70's hard rock,up through death/doom/thrash metal music)...oh well,hopefully his band's next album will be better than the last two you mentioned! sorry,just felt like venting...

Um, you sure you're not mixing up your people? He LOVES Vai and always lists him as one of his biggest influences. Awhile back, he made a comment about Dream Theater, but also went on to say (in a later interview) that Petrucci is a way better guitarist than he is, and that his comment was a bit skewed.

Do you have a link or something where we can see these quotes. Not trying to say you are lying or anything, I would just like to see what he said. Especially if he did bash Vai
