All that money for a guitar and I get a...gear bag?????

What is the deal with this and when did it start? A new Gibson Explorer and no case?? A deal breaker for me..no sale. If i'm paying around a grand or over, I expect a hardshell case with my purchase, no matter what brand. Sorry about the rant..I know we usually just talk about amps but..damn, I miss the good old days...

Buy a Suhr. Get a gig bag.

A $2 grand Suhr comes with a gig bag.
But a $1200 Fender USA comes with a hard case...go figure

That is the most idiotic thing I have heard. A guitar that price should come with a case!! My Luxxtone El Machete and CS Charvels did. Even the MIJ Charvels came with a case!!

FWIW, Suhr isn't the only one. PRS is doing a lot of this on most (or all?) guitars of $2K or less. Look at the $2K PRS CE models with a gig bag.

I actually like the Suhr soft cases/gig bag.

Me three, I much prefer the Suhr gig bag over a case, they're heavy duty and easier to carry to gigs

At first I was in the "no case is weak" camp but after reading thread I think it would be better if they just included the gig bag and then had a small upcharge if you want to switch the gig bag out for a case. Everybody gets whichever they want and nobody pays for what they didn't.

All guitars should include cases. At this point even cheapo guitars can come with those cheapo cases.

Gig bags are for train commuters and gamblers lol.

At first I was bummed that my Charvels came with a gig bag. I got a case with a Japan model but wish it had more compartment space. Hard to please I guess.
