I admit they are probably not the speaker of choice for most high gain amps, but I find them to have a very uncompressed sound that works great for driven cleans and mid gain sounds. I didn't like them with my 5150 until I put a gain cut switch on it, then it actually sounds pretty good through them too. Not sure if I would call them bright, I would say my V30s are much brighter and cutting than the T75s I have, which always sit lower in the mix by comparison. For me the main struggle with T75s is the lows, not the highs, where the main struggle with V30s is the highs, not the lows.
