Surely, there are some people on the right that do it, but everyone of my friends that is libertarian or conservative usually posts on Facebook or Instagram about their job, memes, family photos, recipes/food they've cooked, a vacation, etc. I tend to see more leftists make their politics their entire identity. I even told my friend a bit ago, that thinks just like I do, that if he started posting all sorts of super rightwing stuff, I'd probably get tired of seeing it and unfollow or just unfriend him, because I don't want to see that from anyone.
Perfect example; on a local Facebook group, I posted asking if anyone in there was into martial arts, cars, guitars, cooking/foodie stuff, video games, etc. If they were sarcastic with a dark sense of humor, even better. I said since I moved here, I only know 2 people, my cousin and his wife. I need to make some friends that I can talk guitars with, work on cars with, go eat hot wings and drink beer with, etc. Ya know, basic dude stuff.
Other than 2 different gay dudes not having many friends (probably hard to make friends as gay guys in the conservative Bible belt of Middle TN), but I had one dude send me a friend request. I checked out his page and his first couple posts were guitar related, looked like he had some cool guitars, so I figured why not. After a while, when his posts started showing up on my feed, it's primarily the tired old cliches of Trump sucks, republican presidents always crash the economy and democratic ones save it, but it is slow going from having to fix all the republican mistakes, but Americans get tired of waiting so they elect a new republican. Then another about the black boy who got the Secret Service badge and he was like all he wanted to do was be a cop, but as happy as he is, there's some maga kid somewhere just waiting to grow up so they can beat him with sticks.
Goddamn man, how full of hatred and anger does your heart have to be full of to just hate on literally every single thing a guy does that YOU don't agree with. I didn't agree with much of anything Biden did, but I didn't spend my entire day thinking of how much I hated the man, or how I wish he'd just go away, etc; I just sat there and posted memes, posted delicious food I got to eat, pretty views of the snow, etc.
