Am I the only one that doesn't like anyone that makes their politics their identity?

Well…
AKS’s 😂
One of the precursor weapons to the favorite of the pork eaters
I myself am not an AKS fan, or an AK..
Why people want sub standard reliability (AKS) or sub standard accuracy and adaptability to the mission (AK’s) compared to current day AR platforms is puzzling to me
😂😂
AKs and accuracy....every AK should come with a shit-load of ammo, you'll need it.

Edit: but I'll add that the AK47 has a similarity with a Thompson sub machinegun: dirty & covered in filth with no regular cleaning or lube, it still fires.

I don't understand how people feel they belong to a political party. These people don't give a single fuck about any last one of us. Damn near anything that leaves a politicians mouth is an attempt to distract us or drum up further personal sense of belonging to advance another agenda. We have days long training on how to navigate through their bullshit for lobbying.

One trait seldom found today is the ability to have discussions outside of one's comfort zone. Everyone seems to resort to name calling and mockery without listening to what they hear. Most will discount or outright dismiss any opinion they wouldn't hold themselves without even the slightest consideration of how the other arrived there. To me, this is the real root cause of division. Even though I certainly hold my own set of beliefs I enjoy trying to understand how others justify theirs. I've learned a lot of what I know from people I don't necessarily agree with.

Meme shit posting achieves absolutely none of that, so I'm with you there.
Amen brother. The general reply when presented with a view you don't agree with: "we're done here". It's sad.

"Inaccurate AK" as compared to what? Yes, it's less accurate than an AR but anyone good with a rifle can ring a dinner plate sized steel at 300 yards with a decent AK and some quality ammo.

anyone that can't separate politics from the person, are going to be very lonely. I know people with good hearts, on both sides of the isle. I just know I can't discuss anything political with left leaning people, or they will go off the rails. My sister is a huge lefty, so will bury her head in the sand and get mad. I don't talk about politics with her, because I want our relationship to stay good. The difference is, she could talk about her politics and reasons all day, and I would make a concerted effort to listen and understand. Leftists won't do the same.

This is the real reason politics is what it is now - one side wants to get along, and half of the other side (so like 25% of people) literally wants you dead and would dance on your grave for having a different opinion:dunno:

It's also why that side is so extreme in their rhetoric. They are used to conservatives capitulating for the last 100 years.

Well, liberalism is a mental disorder.

So it makes perfect sense that leftist would use politics to brand them/theyselves.

Just look at the rampant body dysmorphia amongst the modern leftist. They just can't help it. They must announce to everyone they are mentally deficient.

I live in probably the reddest county in Texas. While I do see some flexing a bit with the Trump flags and red hats, for the most part people just mind their business and live life. Lots of American flags out which sure is nice.

Never fired one, read it in an article in a gun mag; they touted it's ability to fire in almost any weather and various states of cleanliness but not very accurate, compared to an M16 IIRC.

They aren't as accurate as an m16/AR but the looser tolerances make them more reliable. I think the Ar has closed the gap in recent years but it's design makes it more prone to failures. With that being said a lot of it will just depend on the builder and condition of the weapon you acquire.

Yes, "looser tolerances" was mentioned. I think they are cheap weapons in most countries (except the US), which would explain that.

My martial arts instructor refused to let anyone in the group that was a democrat, or worse, hardcore leftist. He was a bit of a hardcore rightist and that kind of got on my nerves, and the group's collective nerves. But, he was a good dude and taught us cool stuff. We just had to put up with the occasional "did you see what Hillary said?" or "those damn liberals are going to come for our guns, and I'll be waiting".
I can't blame him one bit, who wants to be around deranged people, it's a hazard waiting to happen.

I had a huge incident yesterday with my MIL. I love her to death but she is both the most vocal political person i know, and also the least informed. Very frustrating.
