By the time I was 18 or 19 I was confident that I could find myself nearly anywhere in the country and find a way to support myself. I'm 57 now and I haven't let myself down yet.

At almost every job I ever had, which wasn't very many since I tended to, you know, keep my job until I found a better one. Congrats, that's the only way to be.
I got laid off only once in my life, shortly after we had a new baby. Laid off on Friday and had another job the next Wednesday doing the same work...I'm thankful to this day.

I was supposed to be an IT guy out of high school.

Dodged that bullet and developed actual people skills.

Now my small business is thriving and pretty safe from AI taking over.

My older brother at Google with the high level of education and IT intelligence….waiting to be laid off.
