1972-73 Needed more volume because we started playing local parties.
These were pretty cheap used and yet still an all tube design.
Crank em and it'd easily do Sabbath and Zep. Tube reverb too.

Found another picture. The head would tuck into the bottom of the cab
and the two little nylon clamps held it in place. Neat design but probably
sounded like crap - didn't have any point of reference back then.

5153/ avatar 2x12 ( country)

that was years ago, but when I played professionally in Nashville, I had over 500 shows on…. The Kemper :) it was a no brainer in that situation and type of gig, where consistency is key, and every single movement on stage and the songs itself are mapped out, along with backing tracks etc, and no stage bleed.

1974 Friend's dad did sales for the local music store and was able to get me a killer deal on a JMP50 half stack.
This would have been right after they switched to PCB construction.
Finally felt like Page for real!
Are you in your 60s Donnie? I thought you were younger for some reason

First amp: 72 Bassman + giant standup 412 + pedals. 18-19 years old.
Then a Marshall SS combo from 1984..forget the model.
After: ADA MP1 + Digitech GSP 21 + Mosvalve power amp, Hughes n Kettner 412.
Used that rig for the next 15 years..until I discovered Ebay and lurked on some forums. Then came the avalanche....
SLO, D60, JCM 800 2203/4/2205/Jubilees/Modded JMPs and JCMs/2C+s/2B Coliseum/HR100/EVH 5153 and more I'm probably forgetting....

I also gigged with the VS 100. Late 90’s-early 2000’s. I figured if a Valvestate was good enough for Chuck Schuldiner it was good enough for me. Listening back to some recordings of the ear rape tones I had back then I don’t think I was correct.

I started with my Egnater Mod50 with VX and SL2 modules and a pedalboard. That quickly transitioned to a Digitech GSP1101 straight into the board in a 4 space rack bag. 1 trip load in :)

Peavey Ultra 120
ADA MP-1->Rocktron Intellifex-> Rocktron Velocity 300
Metaltronix M1000
Marshall DSL
Hughes & Kettner Switchblade
Marshall JCM 900 SLX
Splawn Quickrod
Carvin X100B

I'm sure I'm missing a few things. And none of those are on the roster for next time

1978-81 Lab Series L5. Needed more versatility and this thing had it in spades.
Replaced the stock 12s with some high efficiency EVs. This thing was amazing.
Parametric mid EQ on the lead channel along with a filter control which acted
almost like the travel on a wah but not as extreme. Built in compressor too.
Again, extremely versatile.

Funny, many years later found out that one of these was Ty Tabor's secret weapon
on early King's X records and that BB King toured with one for many years.
That gives you an idea of the wide range of tones it could do really well.
