Amps you've gigged with

I did a gig in Korea with a shitty, BOSS combo amp, the size of a toaster in 89'. I have no idea how I heard myself, lol.

I gigged with a Johnson Millinium amp that started screwing up mid gig. Hated that amp.

Best gig tones I ever got was with a Sansamp PSA-1 preamp into a Mosvalve MV-962 solid state amp and into a Marshall 4x12. People were always asking me where my Recto was

And no, I haven't had the heart to gig ANYTHING ELSE after gigging my Larry Dino lol :rawk:

I'm probably forgetting a bunch of fly rig amps and one night borrow situations

Edit: I forgot a bunch of amps I used for tons of gigs. I used a crate blue voodoo 120 half stack for a ton of gigs, Laney gh and vh series heads, a fender twin, a blonde fender bandmaster, and probably a bunch more I'm forgetting.

In high school I had a Peavey bandit 65, loud and clean with a shitty dirt box that I cant even remember

I didn't get / couldn't afford any "nice" amps until I got a real job which means they stay at home...

September 3rd will be 1,000 days without ingesting ethanol.

Happy now?
And if he was that's considered
to be "Green & Sober".

Well done with the booze Donnie.
Impairment is overrated.
It's nice to not be in that pickle of:
"Man..I'm so hung....arrgh F-it, hair of the dog"..
Good work man!!

I haven't played a lot of shows but I saw a vid of me playing bass with a band and I don't remember learning the songs or remember having the bass rig I was playing. So yeah congrats on the 1000 days. I wasted too big of a chunk of my life on getting fucked up.

How was the peavey bandit?
I was always interested in trying one.

It was pretty decent; not quite as mind blowing as some would have you believe, but very good for an older SS amp. I actually would prefer one to a crush or something like that, generally.

What I really think it excels at is the swedish chainsaw tone with an hm2 type pedal into the lead channel. Nice cleans, too.

It didn't really do it for me as far as more natural high gain sounds at all, but it certainly wasn't bad.

I have a soft spot in my heart for SS. I wish someone would make a high quality SS amp for high gain. Just like a single channel Vh140c that was better made. Just see what could be done.

The vast majority of my gigs were done with my old VHT Deliverance 60

Others include:

Carvin Legacy
ENGL E530
Taurus THD450
VVT Simo-Plex
VHT Pittbull Classic
Yamaha THR10X+Fryette Powerstation
Always used a Deliverance 60 for gigs. Had to use marshall back line for a Wacken battle gig. Was probably a DSL
Guys tell me about the Deliverance, it's an amp I've always been interested in but never come across one. I have the Synergy module which I like, but interested to hear from owners of the amp.

Does some pretty nice cleans all the way to full blown high gain on a single channel. Fryette runs a podcast where hes explained all the details of the pitbull and deliverance designs, might be worth checking out if you want more specifics.
