Anyway, I appreciate the opportunity to share this adventure with you guys, and I'm telling you that together we'll change how products are developed in this musical community. You have problems to solve, I have problems to solve....you have issues at gigs or during recording, and so do I. So I feel confident that we can figure these things out together and I KNOW that the end result will be better products than a bunch of fat cats sitting around a table wringing their hands about how much money they can make if they can just figure out a way to 'beat the kiddies out of their lunch money'.
...thanks.....James Brown.....www.amptweaker.com

Absolutely awesome! Welcome, James.

I really like the Double Cross idea of mixing different preamp voicings...a greatly adjustable mid voicing added to that would make a really versatile tone machine...with variable mid settings you could simulate Vox, Mesa, Fender, Marshall type voicings.

Idea for ultimate amp:

Take a Mesa style preamp and a Marshall style preamp. Run them in parallel. Have 2 modes, one that splits each preamp into a Left and Right channel, so stereo output through im guessing 2 power sections. The next mode blends both preamps into one channel, mono with a knob that allows you to control the amount of Marshall or Mesa in the tone. Combine that with some 6550 tubes and you got a winner!

Holy Moly. You are the man James! I sent a submission to amptweaker.com for your review. I would really love to help you design an amp!

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but I am just nerd-ing out big time. My local guitar store got in an a Coupe 36 he sold originally in 05, and I had never heard of it, but went in and played it and immediately put it on lay-away (I also have two of the old blue tuck and roll kustom cabs, so it just fit in the guitar room too perfect lol) Plus the dealer still has the original Kustom ads with the amp with a hot rod and bikini lady on it he's throwing in and was raving about how it was designed by this James Brown genius. Then I go do some research and find out that Mr. Brown is on this forum I've been on for years. just cool as hell. So then of course I found your amptweaker site and have been talking to everyone who will listen about how genius some of your pedal solutions are lol. Just wanted to say I'm pumped I've discovered your stuff in the middle of nowhere in Nebraska, and can't wait to get my 36 home soon. :)
