Tried it with a little more volume, but not much because it was overloading my camera mic. I used Channel 3 vintage mode. Listen with headphones or decent speakers if ya got em to hear the chunk and low end. Still doesn't do the amp justice though.

Watch the whole thing for a sexy babe at the end! :inlove:

Ok, 40 views and no takers?  I thought it sounded decent. :dunno:

I like but I just can't get past the clothes hanging out of the bottom drawer! JK

  I have too many socks. I guess they just don't fit in my drawer. Oh yeah, and I'm a messy slob!

That thing sounds punishing now man   That's ridiculously tight for a DR

Skipped video to the sexy babe  was dissappoint

I thought it sounded really good. Big and smooth, just how a tube should feel.

...I mean sound... I did say tube amp right?

Alright I'm done trying to be funny. What type of cab/speakers you running there?

the tone you get for the breakdown around 4:00 is spot on IMO

Overall the amp sounds more like a 2ch now. Did the mod improve the tone at low volume?

Thanks guys! Glad ya'll are digging it! I looked at the back of the amp and realized that I had it set on "spongy" and tube rectifiers! It's tighter yet in silicon diode mode and the "bold" setting. I like the sag in the tube recto/spongy mode though.

The cab is actually my old FL Carvin 412 with 100watt Carvin speakers. Next time I record I'll try it with the Mesa/V30 cab. It should cut a little more and have some more sizzle. The Carvin speakers have kind of a "round" and dark tone in comparison to the V30's.

For sure! The switch to KT77's and GZ34 rectifiers helped a lot with low volume tones, but Dave just made it rip at any volume! Really happy with his work.

Is that a Soulfly tat on your wrist??
Yeah I got the Soulfly tat 10 years ago when I was 19. I'm kinda sick of it now, but I used to be a HUGE Sepultura/Soulfly fan.

Dude, it gets so much meaner than this! With actives it just kills, but my Schecter with JB in bridge was the only axe I could tune down to drop C for this song. it lost a lot of definition. PLus the strings on it are over a year old!  I've still never broken a string so I rarely change them.

Sounds great.

When I started using my video Camera I tested out many, many locations (and volumes) in the room before I settled on the spot where most of my videos are shot from. I wanted to replicate the sound I heard in the room as best as possible. It is interesting how the placement changes the sound.
Thanks Dave! I have a long way to go til my vids sound as good as yours, but I'm getting there. I need to get better at mic'ing my speakers so I can do a real clip into Garageband or Cubase. I have the stuff, but every time I use my '57 or condenser mic up close on the speaker I am unhappy with the results. I like the sound of the room.

As was I. Playing was very nice! Tone was pretty spot on too. I am pretty picky when it comes to open chugs though and I thought they could have been more chuggy

But seriously, very nice. I enjoyed!

Plus I have to check out your posts just for the lulz I receive from your avatar.

I hear ya man. I don't usually play this type of music anymore so I'm not fully chug equipped. :D I used to have an ESP (LTD actually) Viper with EMG's and it was heavenly for chunky chugs. Wish I would've kept it.

I hear ya! Pickups are an important factor to the chuggy chugs!
