How do you shut your Paypal account down and get your bank to decline Paypal withdrawals?

Just go to your bank and tell them to decline any and all transactions from paypal. Like stopping payment, or similar. They can shut down future transactions from anyone who has your account information by identifying a previous transaction. Just tell them it is concerning fraud protection, and that you need any attempted transaction by paypal blocked. It's what i call the nuclear option, in case a buyer tries to F you over, which hopefully won't happen..but in case it does, you do have recourse. The downside is no more paypal for you. But at least you aren't out 2K. If they get to your account before you do this, you can also claw the money back by claiming fraud or unauthorized transaction.SavageRiffer":hjgbziv0 said:How do you shut your Paypal account down and get your bank to decline Paypal withdrawals?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but he can actually re-route it on his end with a "My Choice" account. I've re-routed a number of packages as the receiver, both UPS & FedEx. Hell, he can pick up the damn phone, call UPS and request to be held for pickup, and pick it up at his convenience.
As a receiver of a gazillion guitars, amps, etc., I know the inner workings of FedEx/UPS, USPS - there's options galore. In fact, back to UPS, having a "My Choice" option, you can schedule the drop off time. On FedEx, you can do the same. for $5, (online with a CC), you can schedule evening 5-8pm. Hold for pickup is free, both UPS & FedEx. This guy is just a dick, plain and simple. I would educate him of these options, and/or atleast ask him if he's even called UPS. YES, HE CAN CALL ON SUNDAY, I BELIEVE!
CALL REVERB tomorrow.. Did he pay via Paypal, or direct checkout??

There is buyer protection especially if you have pictures of the process but why I always pay UPS to package for me as I've had a buyer intentionally damage an amp and send it back as "defective". I have also had a buyer send me back the same weight in bricks and try to claim he repackaged the amp and it must have been switched and lost my shirt both times....
From my experience get reverb involved now and let them moderate the situation if that's what it turns into.... if it gets ugly give me a yell I work in LA every week.
I contacted Reverb and asked them to proactively warn the buyer about frivolous claims. I hope they can straighten the guy out because I'm tired of getting screwed by indecisive buyers. These are the photos of the packing and box I sent him in our conversation. You sold him an outstanding amplifier in what looks like mint condition, and the packing job is perfect, guy sounds like a pure Dickhead to me!

I did something like this a while back several times,my bank put in place "Stop Pays" and issued me a new debit card so nobody else I have done business with could screw me over as said above, but you might have to personally go to you bank to get this done, but you might get lucky and get it done over the phone...Good Luck and I hope it works out well and in your favor!! If that prick damaged my equipment intentionally I would be super pissed!!Racerxrated":3i5pqc2c said:Just go to your bank and tell them to decline any and all transactions from paypal.
