Pure talent. Just amazing.Chops, rythm and melody quality

he is indeed excellent, as is a lot of the stuff on candy rat records

antoine dufour is one of my favourites on the label

love the vibe on this track:

I'm a massive fan of his. I've learned All Laid Back And Stuff, which was my first acoustic song (yup) and For My Father, which I can't play all the way through yet.

Antoine Dufour is brilliant, too.

some more vids of other notable acoustic players

this guy is awesome very touching lifestory as well

(starts at 0:50 after improv)

or this great thomas leeb cover of a marley tune:

erik mongrain - bit less conventional ;) :

and i really dig adam rafferty's re-arrangements:

and there's a ton more

Incredible musicians.
I suddenly feel less like a guitar player and more like a guitar stand with built-in pick holder.

R~

Andy is a good friend of mine,,grew up down the street from me.. Preston Reed started him on this journey when he came and did a small clinic here in Topeka ks, before that it was al DT EJ and RR for Andy:)

Love Andy...some other cool player in this thread as well. Its all so far removed from how I approach the instrument that I can appreciate it more than I might otherwise.

Some other killer players similar to Andy are Stephen Bennett and Tommy Emmanuel.
Those two guys are amazing. The solo fingerstyle acoustic style is a nearly impossible style to master. I tried for 6 years and finally realized i would never be able to play like these guys. Still love good fingerstyle guitar!
