Any LA guys going to the Guns show tonight?

I think they sounded great for a band who started this what.. 31 years ago ?

And considering they haven't really jammed together like that since 93 or something ?

Should be a great summer tour if they stick to the plan and not have meltdowns.

Could have gotten 2 tix close to stage at 250 each this morning.. Decided against it.

I`m willing to bet with all the money put into this tour and the money they would lose/owe if a meltdown occured it will run smooth from start to finish. The only thing now is if for some reason they have to cancel a date due to illness like VH did on a few of their past tours (08 & 15) everyone will think the tour is up in flames and over

I hear ya, one good thing imo, is that Axl has been touring last few years and his shows have gone for long periods of time.
Compared to those 2 hr + shows they were doing, this should be a walk in the park.

Slash is using the jubilee reissues

They're going to be FUCKING SLAYING it by mid June.
That was a mere taste of what they are capable of. I have high hopes for a best of circumstances.

Yep they sound good.

Hope they stay off the smack and are successful. ;)

I still think the ultimate would have been to have the five original members. This is awesome that they are doing stuff together and I'm a huge fan but it just falls slightly short because it can't be the five.

I was at one of the first shows when KISS put the makeup back on. When they came out to "Deuce" with the explosions and the huge KISS sign, I about shit myself. I just stood there in a daze. :)

It is a shame that all the GnR guys are still alive and couldn't get all included. This is better than nothing though. I know everyone thought this would never happen in a million years.

Funny you mention KISS I was at there 96 reunion show in San Jose 2nd row , man I felt like i was 12 yrs old again . I did get to see them in `79 on the Dynasty tour my first concert. Back to GNR I got to see them a total of 4x between 87 & 88 with the orignal lineup with 87 being the absolute best , they were opening for the Cult and they were easily the best opening act I`d ever saw. Saw them again in 91 & 92 without Izzy and Steven and it just wasn't the same , they sounded too polished and with backup singers and keyboard players , the danger was gone

I thought Axl was surprisingly good (from what you can tell from a phone video).

I'm not really tempted to hit this tour. I was a huge GnR fan up thru the Illusions. Still a huge Slash fan- I dig what he's done solo w/Myles a lot. I just can't get on board.

A) The lineup thing. I'd take any lineup from while Slash was in the band. Don't care. Ultimate would be both drummers playing on their own work.

B) Axl's voice. Risk is to great for me to potentially suffer thru 2 hours of him sounding like shit. Especially at....

C) Ticket prices being what they are. If you can even get something that isn't terrible. Brokers will buy it all up and will be stupid prices for terrible seats. I'm not into sitting 4 miles away.

Never saw them in their prime, if they were doing it right with one of the original lineups, I'd consider it and probably go.

Apparently Adler hurt his back and thats why he didnt play the troubador.
Word has it that he's on the tour.

Yeah that's what I am afraid of.
His singing ability has significantly went down over the years. All the latest clips I've heard of him He simply sounded horrible and sad to listen to... I'd much rather not pay $$$ to see my childhood fav band sounding like shit live.
From the short clips of him singing at the Troubadour, he sounded pretty good! and looked like he lost a lot of weight too(I heard he got on a very strict diet) but they are really short clips, so hard to tell.

Not a fan...at all.....but I really hope this tour is super successful and crushes. I know this type of rock is kinda dated(for me),but I would love to see a comeback for them the likes of the Aerosmith level. I love seeing success way more than failure. I'd like to think I've grown past the jaded phase of life.

Was a fan way back when; Slash is one of the guys that made me want to play guitar.

I'd rather see them win than lose. They've all been thru a lot, and it'd be nice to see em jump back on top where they belong. It's been a long time since all that shit, if the dope and booze are gone then maybe they could put the rest of it aside and make good.
