I actually think The Sickness is a great album. Really good tone as well. No idea what gear he ever used though. I just remember that hideous Washburn signature model he had.

he is an awesome guitarist if you ask me. i personally like his stuff. i also think there drummer is awesome as well. i saw them live and they put on a kickass show too, all except for there worthless singer who had stuff thrown at him from the crowd he was so horrible

He's got some serious metal chops that's for sure, and he's a pretty accomplished lead player.
I believe he used Recto's earlier on, now I think it's all Randall RM modules.

yeah its pretty well all randall now, although i have heard he has two different rigs consisting of different amps/cabs depending on if it is an outdoor show or an inside show ... that was also a while back so he could have gone to a nothing but the randall modules now ...

I don't listen to much of his stuff, but I've got a 1086 in my RM100 and love that. With a boost in front that thing absolutely roars.

I don't really dig Disturbed in general, but I saw them at a big music fest years ago & gained nothing but respect for Dan Donegan. Dude was tight as all get out.

Actually his main amp is an XTC 101B. He blends it with his sig Randall module for his main sound. He also uses the 5150 III and an Uberschall.

I like every other record they put out.
-First one was very commercial and a bit cheesy (sorry).
-Believe was amazing and under-rated. Ahead of its time IMO.
-10,000 Fists was half good and the other half, meh.
-Indestructible was great. Best guitar solos too. This one at 2:15 rocks and great XTC tone too.

Disturbed is a great Chicago band. My wife actually grew up with Dan. He's a good dude.

I heard The Night on the radio and after the solo I was stoked. That's a cool as solo. It was nice to hear a cool solo on the radio again.

I like Disturbed. They've got some cool stuff.

I find them much like Godsmack - every album is "new ground-breaking material", but it pretty much sounds like the last one.

IMO they're much more talented than Godsmack and they actually grow as songwriters. Just compare the second album to the first. Not even remotely the same. Dan's got some mad chops.

Exactly. Dan has a great rock/metal tone, and it actually stands out. Godsmack dude's tone is the definition of bland in my opinion, even though I have the same amp.
