I agree the bridge pickup *can* be a little bright in my LP w/ stock BB pros but overall I think they're good. I prefer 57 classics though overall.
Agreed, the 57Cs are sweet sounding pups. That said, a set of BKP Mules will rule

They have a little more output and top-end bite than even a Burstbucker 3. I have a set that came standard in a Les Paul Limited Edition (2003-2004?) Manhattan Midnight and they sound great -- very vintage, but they can get downright modern and nasty as well.
I have that guitar as well, mine is a heavy beast at about 11lbs. I liked the neck bbpro, but the bridge had a harsh edge to the high end and was a bit thin. I replaced them with suhr aldrich pickups and overall it was a great change, the bbpro neck was a touch sweeter than the Aldrich, but that is the only thing I feel I am giving up.

Wow that's amazing I also have one of those guitars hahaha they only made 250 of them (flamed maple top ones) I fucking love that guitar

How do the Mules compare to a Godwood?

Never played Godwood. The Mules are the phatest sweetest tastiest true-to-form vintage PAF style pups out there.

They're killer /EOM

At first I found them to be a little harsh but once I spent a little time adjusting the height I found their tone. The neck is outstanding. At first I found the bridge to be a little bright but it is really amp/guitar related. With some amps you just have to use your guitar's tone control to dial it in and with others it's perfect. I was messing around with a little Silvertone amp the other day and that amp loves the Burstbucker Pros in my my Lester. They have the perfect small amp retro lead tone together.
