I made a comment on an Yngwie thread. It was like a year and a half bump, so I got blasted for the necro bump. I am sure the same people would blast if I made a general Yngwie comment that I should use the search function....so feeling salty, I waited nearly 4 years and bumped it again, lol. I got a week off and the mod called me a name in a pm
I'm not as mad at the necro police as I ambewildered at the lack of humor in a 4 year bump on a post that was ridiculed for a 1 year bump

Then proceeds to call you a name via PM and says enjoy the week off publicly like a stuck up, small dick asshole.

People like that have no business being a mod and IF the owner of the site gave a shit he would fire their lame asses.

I understand the rules and I understand if you break them you will be banned but there is no need for snooty comments by the moderator.

Those are the type of people that should have been cops (the bad cops that I hate)

I'm on there too. I've never had any issues, but I tend to say out of the bullshit on all forums.

Jemsite is probably worse with their 21 day bump rule and no posting pictures in your FS thread. You can only post links.

yes i agree with the sentiment that mods have a thankless job, and idk how i've stayed in trouble over there, but i'm generally hated regardless of where i am

but there's a culture in the mods that actually seems to enjoy the banhammer over on sevenstring

there's actually a thread i can't access right now since i'm banned that has all the mods almost gloating over banning people for mostly trivial things,

i'm sure i could be banned for life for this kind of thread here, but that seems more i'm butthurt than actually modding which i believe is more for racist/sexist/trolling or whatever, not an honest mistake,

and really i don't know all the rules so i guess i had it coming to me

so yeah idk, i like the site i find interesting things on there, cool guitars for sale, interesting music someone wrote and i play an 8 string so it makes sense to be on there,

and yeah there's a ton of younger people that im' sure give mods a harder time and make it difficult for others who just want to play by the rules and don't troll or whatever, even if they don't know all the rules

yepper, it is, some things are understandable, but it feels/looks like gloating, and high fives given all around for either silly shit, but sometimes the trolling seems serious

idk i'm no mod nor would i want the responsibility

i just wanted to know if someone had an idea of why this might be a problem, ie what i did, i think the best answer was given earlier in this thread,

I'm still there under a different name and ip (have fun finding me mod cunts because I will make 1,000 more accounts)

LMAO. I've got the same situation on a non guitar related forum. I was a member there for over 10 years and then they perma banned me for mentioning I downloaded Planet of the Apes (the first one), but it was worth seeing in the theater. I spent a half an hour or so making like 30 accounts a while back, so if they ban one I just sign into another one and continue on lol. Seems like a lot more effort trying to keep tracking me down and banning me than just letting me be, as other than that once incident I do follow the rules. But if that's how they want to spend their time, it's no sweat on me
