Anyone ever just boost using an EQ pedal?

Thinking about giving Waynzo's pultec EQ a shot at boosting a cranked Twin and seeing how it plays out. Any tips?

No, I EQ with my boost pedal.

Pultec style curve is typically used to boost. Nice Shelf/Bell combo. Great for tuning the low end.
Go parametric for the opposite (clean up / cut)
Never used it on an electric guitar…Not sure how Waynzo has his overlaps set up, I’m assume they’re more tuned for guitars.. If you’re amp is a lil anemic in the lows it could only help..

Yup, GE-7 is my favorite boost as well.
I don't need any more clipping, I just want a level boost to hit the front end of the amp a bit harder.
And why settle for a tone control when you can sculpt your tone with 7 bands of eq.
