I don’t like the 60W at all. Totally different feel and vibe. Not good. Prefer the 100W.

Maybe you played one that needed service. There's just no such thing as a bad IIC+ made, ever. The 60 has no hint of weakness period.

Correct. My 60 watt is a killing machine. I played it back to back with a 100 watt a few weeks ago, and it was every bit as good. Mine was slightly more pissed and a little tighter, the 100 had a little more grease and saturation. Both were about as good as tone gets, and sheer harmonic bliss.

All joking aside I live near THE factory. Every IIC+/++ I have has seen the man more that most ever will friend. I doubt your assessment of any C+ at this point.

I’ve tried several 60Ws and none have impressed me.

For me, the lower the wattage the better the tone/feel with these C+. My first was a 60, SRG that SLAYED as a 2C. If I'm honest I should have left it as a C, it was the most amazing open raw tone of any amp I've owned. After the + it was great but became smooth; I missed the rawness.
The HRGs I've owned had a little less of the feel, and sounded a little less amazing. My Coliseum has even less of the bounce but has all the thickness of the 60, with a little less of the harmonic swirl the 60 had. They all sound great but my 60 sounded the best of all. Of course, the Coli has that magic at volume that only 180w can give....it's in a class of its own.

I know the Wiz digs the Mark IIIs a lot...I find they pale in comparison to the C+. Any C+. Horses for courses. YMMV.
