I don't want to be a Thread Gravedigger but i got recently some of the Winged C 12AX7.
Now i asked me the same Question and you can't find much Information about them on the Web.
It looks like only one guy tested them and his Post "They tried to make good ones but failed" is reused in the other Threads.
The Silver Plates looks interesting but don't like a Spanngitter Tube like the Telefunken ECC803s or the JJ ECC83S etc.
On my Tube Testers they reached good Values for new Tubes. I tried only one for a short time in a Combo.
For me they sound like a good Tube. I haven't made many Tests. Good Tube for me means strong and low Noise.
Has someone today more experience with them even in long time Operation?
Best Regards and a happy new Year ???
I have a bunch from the early 2000’s. They were prone to having hum issues. I have a few that are quiet, but don’t test super strong. That said, they sound great.
