I’m gonna be that guy: don’t overlook regular 1960A/B with G12T-75. I have a 1936V, 1960AX, 1960BX, and 1960A here (with T75/V30). With my JMP 2203, the 1936V was the only cab that feels like it’s missing some upper mid / treble aggression. I ended up blowing one of the original speakers and swapping an H75 creamback in, and that gave it that upper mid aggression I was missing.
If I had to pick up a single new Marshall 4x12 for a 2203 though, it would be a 1960A. If I felt like dragging 2 cabs everywhere, I’d pick up both a 1960AX and 1960BX. They look and sound great, but a boosted 2203 turned up past 11 oclock (which is where the true beastliness comes out in mine) will make a single greenback 4x12 get flubby.
