No, leftists don't support this. This is propaganda. The the actual bill Dems rejected was higher penalties soliciting sex (not sex trafficking) when the soliciting was done towards specifically 16 and 17 years olds. The reason the Dems rejected it was because they thought the bill wasn't punitive ENOUGH against solicitation of minors.

That is nowhere close to "Dems want to sex traffick 6 year olds" like you are saying. But I know you are a conservative and therefore have zero problems spreading lies to try and further your agenda though so I don't know why I bother.

Meanwhile, literally every day, conservative cops and youth pastors are arrested for ACTUALLY abusing children. WAY more conservatives abuse children than liberals.

Feel free to keep injecting Fox "News" bullshit into your veins for your daily dose of hate though.

I'm not trying to refute you or anything because I have no idea on what's going on with this particular bill or what's in it. It's just that track record of congressional democrats has been to pick the 20% side of almost every 80/20 issue. So is it really any wonder why people wouldn't believe this; at least on surface level?

LOL oh no, that brainworm addled heroine addict accused someone of something outrageous without a shred of evidence? So if I accuse you of the same thing, does that mean we need to take that accusation seriously? I don't have any evidence you've been doing that but I accused you of it, and hey, where there's smoke, there's fire. So now you've been accused of being complicit in child trafficking, and that has to mean something, right?

Come back with real evidence and we can have a conversation. Until then you're just doing what conservatives always do, peddling weak ass RE:RE:RE:FW:FW:FW:RE:RE grandma and grandpa chain email shit from people who have zero media literacy and taking it as gospel.

The human trafficking that has been going on over the border for the last years has been you fucking disgusting lefties.

I could show you story after story of the rape trees and the rape kits given out by the IOM but you would just make another excuse.

You probably never heard of the IOM or the HIAS, or Catholic Charities because you just don't care.

All good. For starters, on the surface level, the dems' whole thing is human rights. Their whole philosophy is that all people should be able to live safely and happily as long as they don't hurt anybody else, and be protected under the law. Conservative philosophy is "we must protect big business at all costs." The conservatives' work toward this by attempting to reduce government power and business regulation, stripping away the rights, liberties, and protections under the law provided to individuals.

Anyway, as it relates to the issue being brought up, the conservative propaganda was "look at this, liberals want to abolish punishment for sex crimes" and it showed a pic of an adult next to a kid, everybody dressed in rainbow shit. This was obviously implying that the alphabet people want to fuck kids. That is insane.

Also, democrat leadership does not vote on the 20% side of every issue. For example, contrary to popular conservative belief, democrat leadership does not want fully open boarders, and I agree with them because fully open boarders would be insane and stupid. Only the fucking dumbest liberals alive want that. I agree the democrat party is fucked and filled with mostly spineless weaklings, but I do think their hearts are in the right places. They do what they do from the core principal that people should be protected from anyone who would prey on them, professionally, sexually, whatever.

I'll look at whatever you want to post if there's truth to it.

Darian Gap and Mayorkas from HIAS.

If you don't know what I am getting at, you know nothing.

And if you don't know anything about the IOM, oh boy, you are way behind.

Ok here's an actually interesting issue.

On one hand, what Bernie said at face value was fucking stupid. However, it's not as simple as "receive goods = must pay for them" because we're not talking about just buying a six pack or getting your gutters cleaned or whatever. It's education, which people use to give back to society by being productive members of it in exchange for money. And in the case of education, there does need to be a larger conversation around the totally predatory higher education price gouging happening in America. They get kids at 18 years old to sign their whole financial future away for astronomical prices they cannot escape.

Do you want to live in a world where only the richest people can afford higher education and therefore the best jobs? That is some affirmative action shit (but only for rich people) if I've ever heard it. This gets into a higher conversation about higher education's role in making our country better on the world stage.

Do you think education should be more a privately owned and for-profit enterprise, or more of a public service? Because personally, I'd rather live in a society with fewer idiots who don't know how to think critically in it.

I'd agree with you if this was 20 years ago. But both parties have undergone big changes in the last 10-15 years; basically since Obama.

Conservatives in the last 10 years have booted a large portion the neocons who were in the pocket of big business and want endless war. Republicand have actually adopted a number of the core values of classic Democrats. Being the party of the people, no war and smaller govern0ment. If you look past Trump the person and only look at policies, many of them are the same as Clinton and prior era democrats. He was a Democrat all the way up to 2016 after all.

Democrats have unfortunately lost direction and have been take over by fringe liberals. People like Ilhan Omar and AOC who are full on global socialist who don't care one bit about the country, only their own power and agenda. They've also become the party of big business and more government. If Democrats can get back to their roots of being for the people then they might have a chance to salvage what's been falling apart.

First of all, gender studies is not really an education.

Second, I agree about debt forgiveness but the school should give them the money back, not the tax payer, and tear up the diploma.

And watch how quickly the bullshit will stop.

The stuff people study at universities doesn't really matter. Something like only 30-40% of graduates ever work in the fields they major in. The traditional university experience is more about getting out of the house and learning how to learn and think critically on your own.

I agree that gender studies is bullshit for retards though.

As far as debt forgiveness goes, I think all forms of interest should be thrown out. University loan management scumbag firms take student payments and only apply them to interest, which they frontload like a worse version of a home loan, so that if you just pay the monthly bill, you basically don't touch the principal for years. I think if you have paid the full cost of what the education would have cost if you paid in cash, you should have the rest of the loan forgiven.

I was about to reply, but I think you hit the points I would have made.

I don't want to be responsible for someone else's financial mistakes. No one forced them to go to college and rack up mounds of debt for a useless degree. I wouldn't support debt forgiveness, but would support financial grants to those going for a STEM degree or vocational school; assuming they met minimum requirement like keeping above a certain GPA and actually graduating. At least those are fields that would be beneficial to society.

Unfortunately IME critical thinking isn't something you can really teach. You either can or can't. It's more confidence based that someone who can think critically is confident enough they're on the right track. I work in a scientific field (chemistry) where a large part of our job is troubleshooting problems with instruments. I've had some staff who just couldn't think their way out of a paper bag. I spent a lot of time trying to coach them and nothing. And it's not like they were dumb. They just couldn't think critically, had to be told exactly what to do, and shut down if processes didn't go perfectly. They didn't last long. Others just needed to be assured they were thinking through things in a good way. Once they got some confidence they took off and can troubleshoot and come up with solutions like no one's business.

Consider it more like a refund, they got an education that was useless. The school should let them return it like Costco. Once the schools start giving back all the money to the unhappy customers, they will stop giving useless courses. It will happen almost immediately.

💯
I made a joke about that in another thread, but at the same time a little serious. Debt forgiveness should be these colleges giving refunds.

It's so simple but nobody is talking about it.

Like banning SSRI's, all the mass shooting will end immediately.
