I question how much money there is to be made unless it's a church with a huge congregation. My best friend is a pastor of a Houston-area church and he lives in utter-fucking-poverty. He was a double-major in college with a business degree, could be making good money doing something else, but this is what he chooses because he cares about people.

I totally get what you are saying. It was a passing question, not an accusation. Most do serve in near poverty. But here in ATL, recently some of the Super Church leadership have been involved in paying teenage boys for sex, and just garden variety stealing money.

The anti Christian media usually only reports the negative. The good things the various churches do goes widely unreported. And another day giving out soup and clothing is not exactly exciting. Unless of course you need it, then it is awesome!

The guys in the band never preached any religion. It came out that they were each Christians so the media ran with that because it was a story to write about. They have been quoted as saying "We are five Christians in a metal band, why does that have to make us a Christian metal band?"
Sure they avoid using graphic/gross/hateful lyrics and imagery in their songs, so I guess it's just easier to label them that way.
I simply see them as a metal band with a fast twin guitar assault and a mix of aggressive and melodic lyrics. Textbook modern metalcore. Which they are possibley the best or top three at doing.
Their subject matter isn't any friendlier than KSE, so their belief system really shouldn't be a topic in relation to their music IMO.
