At what point are you a gigging guitarist?

I have been invited to join a band here in austin. They have tons of gigs, but their guitarist is a bit older and running out of stamina.

So, back to the question. Am i now a gigging artist, or do i have to actually gig? Because i want the fame right now

This is a great point. My stamina has not been tested in years. I am very efficient at finishing
