37 of them on ebay now. No reserve auctions are starting and minimum bids are starting to crater. Except for some dumb fuck with a price of $2700 on his. There's a few best offer auctions, but they are not taking kind to low ball offers.....

Amazing how many of these 37 people were touting these were the best thing since sliced bread last week, now they are battling to see who can sell as fast as they can to get something that is not even ready.
Time is money, most certainly in this case...

V.

So 2 weeks with the Hagen, 2 weeks with the Betty, right? I'm looking at my schedule

Time is money excellent point, also FWIW I am glad you got your money back in the deal!!!

Keep me updated on the Hagen, the Betty will be the one in the yellow rain coat next to the sign on the corner.

Yeah, but the cheapest one sold was $1600. While that might be $2-300 off prices 1 week ago, $1600 for a used item costing $2k new in a flooded market is still pretty impressive. Hell, that might even still be in the ridiculous category.

These people just want the latest Axe with the new user friendlier features. The tone is not what they are chasing. If in fact it sound better to their ears that will be a bonus.
You guys are acting as if tube freaks don't want the latest Mesa this and Marshall that etc.... and they sell off the last ones they had for the latest shit all the time. Does this mean they think their new tube amp is gonna sound even realer than the last? Or maybe just new and different. Touché
Truth is both camps act the same and the Axe has held its resale much better than the vast majority of the mighty tube amps. Not to mention you gotta get them amps off to be modded or they don't sound good enough. Too fizzy, too loose, too stiff, blah blah blah. Glass houses you bithches

Here is a standard that did not sell for $1250. Amazing what 7 days can change.

Not really true at all. Mine is on ebay. Cost me $.65 to list it. Love it and yes I will always say it is a probably one of the best guitar purchases i've ever made. It probably won't sell just like most of the others on there. If it does then great, I can upgrade to a II. If it doesn't then I''ll keep using it and enjoying it and upgrade at some point in the future when I can afford to. But I won't give mine away, I'd rather keep it. The only people I'm battling with are the idiots who don't own one and think they can get mine for nothing.

Then they won't sell imo unless they snag some poor sod who isn't aware of the new model's debut or just get lucky. But that might be the intent, they are just fishing for a sucker.

"It's the best thing ever even though I'm selling it"...yeah right then no it's not the best thing ever save us the transparent marketing spin you're trying to cut your losses.

Here's the rub: The longer you wait to sell the I to fund a II, the sooner you're going to feel screwd by the III.

2 Ultras actually sold for under $1500 on completed listings, and a lot of the ones in the $1600 range had additional items sold with them like Midi Sports, etc....

I still find it funny that so many Axe FX users are selling in fire sale mode for a unit that they have to start from scratch on. If you have had yours for very long and invested time learning how all the parameters and have a good solid foundation of presets you use, especially if you are playing out live why start from scratch on a unit not even shipping yet. Sure USB is cool and the headphone jack is nice, but nothing is proven on any of the sounds being better than the current ones. I have trust that Cliff has built a better overall product for future upgrades and expansion and I understand the migration to the new unit. I just find it humorous how many users jumped off the Ultra bandwagon for the II not hearing it, I guess the thought of losing money and having the latest newest gadget trumps a great working best guitar purchase unit.

I didn't see any Ultras that low. The cheapest I see is 1599. A few bozos still paid 1800+. I bet the sellers were "phew!"

And just when you've got it dialed-in the way you want - here comes the AxeFX III !

I think most people bought the V then sold them early enough to go back to the IV, wonder if that's going to happen with the Axe
