Dont have one so I cant really get tired of it. I'd like to pick one up sometime. Seems like a great little amp.

they are cool for what they are but mine started making all kinds of odd noises and it ain't the tubes. sending it back. be forewarned though, don't think you can turn these up and get good tone, you would need to slave like Ralph did, they only sound decent at extremely low volumes before your bass notes sound like pure compressed mush.

I think I tried pushing it too hard in the back end.

Yep that would definately cause wierd noises.

How difficult would it be for a local store to be setup as a dealer? Maybe this question is best served for Cliff but I'm just curious. I have a deposit down for a Mark V head at a local dealer. I'm having a difficult time waiting since I am ampless until it comes in. I hate to pull money away from a great local dealer that I love supporting. I really want the Mark V but would love to give the Axe-FX a run too. Any suggestions or am I just being impatient and dimwitted?

I don't think Cliff is looking to setup a dealership network at this point. He has only one dealer I know of - Tone Merchants in Orange, CA. If you really wanna try it out in person, why not just get one directly from Cliff? You get a reasonable trial period and can return for a full refund if you don't like it during that time. No lose sitch if ya ask me...

This ain't about dealer loyalty... it's about TONE!

Thanks Steve! I need to think about it some more. Like Dan, I'm having a hard time waiting for the Mark V with the constant talk of delays. I want it and would be 100% happy with it but I'm sure the Axe could fit the bill too. I'm confused!!!

still note the tinge of direct/model sizzle on all the amp tones but the effects are killer!

I like the clean and effects, but none of the dirty tones did anything for me. But is he just running it through those monitors behind him?

Funny thing, when i hear the guys rave about it i get interested. Then i listen to clips and videos and i get turned off by it. There are some good clips out there but they are outnumbered by the bad one's by a fair margain.

What really makes me laugh is that I know the tones that you like and its in the Axe-fx. It would probably take me less the 2 minutes to show you what this thing can do and I'm pretty sure I'd piss myself watching your face. You like boogie tones and this thing has it in spades plus an assload more. Ive got way to many things on my plate these days and very little time otherwise I would have already posted a proper clip of this thing. You are another candidate like Pat who needs to try the thing in person instead of listening to clips.

Yeah, they told me i would have it a MONTH ago. And you know I'd love to hear what a Quad can do next to the Mark V.
