Babymetal - What is this?

I came across this band while browsing Blabbermouth.net. The musicianship and performances are pretty tight if you ask me.



 
Just what the music world needs ! Another bunch of idiots lip syncing over pre recorded tracks.
 
Their guitarist posts on another forum I'm on, they have a full band that plays live.

I cannot speak to the first part, but the emboldened part is definitely not true.

It looks like a group of great performers that could get a younger generation at least interested in live music and metal. I have no problems with it. It could be the gateway into metal for my daughter.
 
I think the first video was live and second not(audio). Weird and a little cool?!.

Not sure what these girls actually play, but the song is very catchy.

I want to make a metal band of Furries. Knowing this world, there's probably a 1000 furry bands already.

Awesome introduction. When was the last time a band gave tribute to all the heavy metal legends and old people? I don't care if this group lip sync or uses auto-tune. As long as they are singing rock and heavy metal music then they are ok in my book.

This^^^. I watched a few of their live videos, and not only is that band really playing the music, that band is on fucking fire. There's some killer choreography going on also. It's not really my thing, but I think what their doing is cool as fuck and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if it blows up in the US. And as far as that Band Maid tune goes, if Jake E Lee or George Lynch released a tune that cool, it would be the hottest topic on Rigtalk right now. That tune fucking rips, beginning to end. :rock:

What forum? Love to give those guys some props they are insane their playing style is incredible with the 8 or seven strings not sure what they are using
 
When they first started making waves outside of Japan, loads of elitist metallers started condemning it, saying that it wasn't metal.
You know, what with their down-tuned, heavily gained, pointy guitars, double bass pedaling, horror suits & pyrotechnics.
