I miss this in the earlier post but yeah this song is actually good. However, this band is missing something that Babymetal has and that is the it factor. What is the it factor? The it factor was what the early David Roth + EVH and Yngwie Malmsteen era has. When I first heard and saw the early EVH and Yngwie Malmsteen era, I was totally blown away. I'm not saying that Babymetal is in the same company as these bands but when I first saw their videos and performances I was like what the fuck is that? It was so new and different that it caught my attention. As you can see the audiences around the world are watching their videos and that is what the it factor is all about.

Yes, but the "it" factor is different things to different people. I agree with your two examples of "it" factor for sure, for that era and for me. Almost every band in every genre that is signed is signed because someone believed they have the "it" factor or enough of some sort of "it" factor to sell lots of copies of their music. Malmsteen's "it" factor never got him above #40 on the US charts at the peak of his popularity. His "it" factor was only for a very narrow group of guitar freaks who recognized it.

Yup, babymetal is far more catchy than Malmsteen to today's generation than Yngwie was to his. The marketing behind this venture has found a niche way to draw people to the shows. It is powerful and catchy. You have to give them credit for that. That said, I still would take Malmsteen bringing the fury back in 85 over this any day of the week.

Chubtone if you watch the video below then you will see what the "it" factor is really all about. Any band that can command an audience like that has the "it" factor.

watch road to resistence if you don't like it then take your closed mind to another thread

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTEYUFgLveY

Wait, I'm confused. If I don't like this tripe I'm close minded or a bitter hater?
Am I not allowed to have an opinion in the new age of tolerance?

No its ok not to like it and have an opinion but have you actually listened to their music? Do you have better music? It annoys me when people judge too harshly just don't need to see a million posts about how this music is "unlistenable" that's all.

Their guitarist posts on another forum I'm on, they have a full band that plays live.
What forum? Love to give those guys some props they are insane their playing style is incredible with the 8 or seven strings not sure what they are using

the favorite place next to TGP over here, sevenstring.org   That said he doesn't post often these days as he's been touring all over the place

I live in ohio missed them in Columbus a while back they kick so much ass

That's a bummer, while it's not something I'm massively into I suspect they would be an absolute blast to see live

I'm impressed with the musicians that are coming out of Japan. Of course, you can thank America for having a big influence on them.

I told you guys that Babymetal was blowing up and I was right. They will be headlining Wembley arena in England in April. Check out some of the guitar solos from one of their guitarist. I really like the guitar solo starting at the 1:00 minute mark. It has melody, speed, and accuracy. Of course the chick with the big titties also help :)

Awesome introduction. When was the last time a band gave tribute to all the heavy metal legends and old people? I don't care if this group lip sync or uses auto-tune. As long as they are singing rock and heavy metal music then they are ok in my book.

No kidding that was an unbelievable introduction. Killer riffing right out of the gate. I almost feel like a lot of people go to these shows for the pulse of the music. The poppy stuff kind breaks up the monotomy of drop D riffage but when it comes back in, it hits you like a mack truck and it grooves. I don't even really like death metal but i love the groove the rythm section serves up.
Hellz yeah! Those riffs were (IMO) a mix of modern Testament, Overkill and Exodus... Pretty much a win in my book.
And Bubba next to the sound guy seemed pretty in to it too. "Bee!....A!.....Bee..." :D

And as far as that Band Maid tune goes, if Jake E Lee or George Lynch released a tune that cool, it would be the hottest topic on Rigtalk right now. That tune fucking rips, beginning to end.

100% agree. ^^^

I thought this was pretty catchy and the videos are fun. I also dig the one where she gets the neck brace from on high and it magically attaches to her and she immediately begins headbanging.

Honestly, I don't hear much of a difference between this and a lot of that sappy, operatic metal from Europe except this stuff rocks out more.

Might as well throw this in the mix.

Not sure what these girls actually play, but the song is very catchy.

God I hope so... cause at 3:39... I thought she said "Me wants to suck a DIIIIIICK!" .... and I nutted.. :scared:
