This amp seemed cool when it was released, and it was $1500 at release. But ultimately it's not going to do what a 5150 does and isn't going to be for everyone. Certainly not an end all be all amp for me. I will stick with my Mexican EVH heads lol. Weird thread lol.
A 5150...... Doesn't do what a 5150 does anymore..... And that shit be made in Mexico now and cost the same as the Lynx.

And the 6505s are made in China now and well yeah..... Fuck paying 1500+ for Chinese shit.

For around the same as the EVH 5150s that aren't even fucking 5150s anymore and this costing less than Peavey 6505s made in China.....

And these packing more gain, character, higher quality, MIA/USA. It's just a no brainer given the opportunity cost and who the hell is buying an EVH or a Peavey or a PRS whatever when you have a Bad Cat Hot Cat or Lynx that is MIA/USA :dunno:

I mean who is paying for overseas or foreign made amps that cost 1500-2500+ dollars or "assembled in America/USA" or made in Mexico, China or Indonesia when you have an amp built in America/USA that is much better quality and cost the same or less like a Bad Cat :dunno:

*puts tan pants on*

PRS HDRX 50 and 100 are made in USA.
They arent made or even built in the USA......

PRS HDRX 50 and 100 Watt heads are "Assembled in the USA". And they cost north of 2,500+ dollars..... It's pretty ridiculous, insane and down right stupid to get one for that money considering the amps aren't even made or built in America/USA :dunno:

Its not all just mega brootalz metal....... It has a vintage vibe too and so much clarity and articulation when needed or pure nastiness and filth too.... They talk a bit about the topology and architecture of the amps and how they are designed too *_*

Direct from the PRS website: "Made in PRS Guitars Stevensville, Maryland, USA factory, PRS HDRX 100 amps are an exhaustive recreation of tone, a celebration of history, and a monument to modern technology"

https://prsguitars.com/amplifier/hdrx_100_2025

So, are they just lying?

Well as before...... This is direct wording written on their amplifier...... Those overpriced amps that cost north of 2,500 dollars are not Made in USA.....

They are "Assembled in the USA"..... So if PRS are saying they are made in the USA they are lying.

Pretty crazy to ask for so much money for something not even made or built in the USA :dunno:

Technically they arent lying per se..... They are tricking consumers which I guess is legal if people are stupid enough to fall for the marketing.

It's just tricky marketing.....

For example it's not legally "Made in the USA".....

Under their definition marketed to consumers it's "Made in PRS Guitars Stevensville, Maryland, USA Factory" but essentially its legally "Assembled in the USA" as written on the amp.....

I don't know exactly how they can get away with saying what they say as it tricks consumers pretty much but essentially yeah..... It's not even made/built in the USA.

Aside from the above vid and what Bollinger showed it can do which is the filthiest vintage type attitude but with clear and defined definition and note separation......

Yeah this does that and to the extreme and everything in between *_*

Being honest though the EVH amps and cabs are great and maybe I was too hard on them even if it is MIM, for the feature sets and the quality they aren't bad IMO and pretty great.....

But IMO and for my money now...... The Bad Cat Lynx 50 is where it's at *_*

And these amps aren't Made in the USA.....

They are Built in the USA...... And that carries as much or more meaning.

Take a tour.......

Built in the USA in Costa Mesa, CA and in SoCal/Orange County *_*

P.S. they also talk about the secret sauce for their Bad Cat/Celestion Speakers..... Cool stuff aside from how they build the amps in the USA!!!!
