Italo De Angelis frequents that forum, a great guitarist with awesome credentials, and is a wealth of knowledge due to his experience being an algorithm programmer for Eventide. He clowns on all the trolls who roll up in the Rack Space forum talking nonsense about gear or how it works and puts them in their place. Italo is my hero on TGP and is one of the reasons I frequent that forum is to gain his insight on rack gear. It would be a shame if people like him left the TGP over trolls/whiners/etc. which has happened in the past.

I got the ban today. They didn't say why but I mentioned something about tax on groceries. I didn't think that it was all that controversial and certainly not political in any way. Tax on food would really suck for me as I have 5 kids, well 3, 16 and up that can fucking eat. I say legalize weed and gambling and let me eat cake without tax on top! (don't ban me here now)
 
I like some things about TGP. Good effects section and such.. but I was almost banned once for saying “dick butt” in reference to the Ceriatone Klon klone (Centura). Ha
 
I hope I'm not the only one who started reading this thread before realizing it was stated a few years ago. Damn it! :lol: :LOL:

I very much doubt your tax groceries comment was the reason.

No surprise there. Those fruitcakes want to tax the hell out of everything.
 
It's pretty pathetic that TGP bans people and do not let them in on what they're banned for. If I were actually concerned, I would just start a new screen name, duh! I should stay away from the Pub area.
 
I got banned there a year or so ago for some comment I forgot I had made, something about trying to evade import duties by marking an item as a gift and making it a lower value on the customs form. Some bag o'doosh went on a rant that a civilized society depended on a gov't. able to collect taxes and I had voted for it. WTF? I don't remember what I wrote, but it wasn't political and I certainly didn't start it. Of course, since TGP edits your posts when they think you're out of line, it's impossible to go back and see what the offending copy was.
 
TGP bans everybody. You get a ban and you get a ban and you get a ban
 
That ban is why I'm no longer a sponsor. I used to gladly pay up each year, even if I wasn't selling anything. No more.
 
I was talking to a mod at TGP through PMs and he said that they don't have the time or resources to be auditing all the threads and all the posts.
Most all of their infractions, warnings and bans come as a result of someone reporting the post who was offended by it.
Basically..overly sensitive snitches telling on you...
 
I usually stick to the manufacturers sub forums as they rarely ever get political. I pop in here to see who the real tin foil hat, Kool-Aid drinking, left vs right crazy political princesses are that just can't keep their personal moral and ethical beliefs to themselves. Thank you for labeling yourselves.

That guy bans new users if he happens to suspect them to be alter egos of banned members, he's suffering from paranoia.
 
I signed up there years ago and was banned for life for saying an amp sounded like an electric fart. They said fart was too vulgar and such things should be referred to as "breaking wind", "passing gas" or "tooting".
