Guys, this does sound impressive!

I hear it is heavy though and wide? My Greenback cab is only 26" wide.
I was in the process of getting a new cabinet as well....a large diagonal Marshall style 212....26x27x14. However, I may order a Port City 212OS. How do you all think the Port City with Celestion "Creambacks" would work with the Malmsteen head????

So, I grew up in the 80s and loved 80s metal and Malmsteen but I am so far removed from that now. I am all classic rock, some 80s rock, tons of 90s rock and hard rock, grunge and some modern rock. I am working on two bands, classic rock covers and 90s hard rock and grunge. A few reviews I have read said this amp is not good for defined modern music. We play Tool, Metallica, A Perfect Circle and Alice in Chains, so the amp needs to be capable. I could always stick with plan A, Splawn, or Chupacabra. However, sometimes it clears my head if I stay with a Marshall if I want a Marshall! LOL!
Maybe it takes pedals well, like my Fargen Sonic Edge J&J Overdrive!!!
Would this YJM head provide a creamier tone and warmer tone than a Splawn? To me it sounds like it.
Concerns. 100 watts! I tend to prefer 50 watts because I can get them into the sweet zone better and less tube to maintain.

Also, with our covers, I often need to switch from clean to heavy in an instant, which needs two channels!
I also prefer a built in solo boost.....although I have an EQ on my board that can do that.
What about heavy? We play heavy tunes like some Metallica off the Black and Load albums and some Tool and A Perfect Circle.
How about build quality??? New Marshalls like the DSL are not built as well as my Bogner Shiva for example or sound as good.
I love my PWE and Bogner, but I always thought I needed a real Marshall and real Mesa Boogie.
OK, what about the Marshall AFD100???????? Either that or a Splawn or Ceriatone Chupacabra!
