LP Freak asked a question concerning fuses for BE100, I pulled out Main, looked at it, put it back. Pulled out H.T., looked at it, put it back. Told him what I had in my amp. I flipped on my amp and let it warm up. Flipped standby on and ANGANNGANGANGANGANANG.. Amp made a horrible noise. I looked to make sure my cord was plugged into my guitar... Yup. It's there... SHIT! Red Tube! Shut down... Bad smell.

I checked the tubes (TAD.. 6 mos old) and looking at the back from left to right, 1,2,3,4.. #1 went red, but tested fine. #2 tested bad. 3 and 4 are fine. I pulled the amp from the shell and started looking to see what fried. I see the resistor is a little toasted. What should I do next?

This is from tube #4 socket.

Have had to change em out several times. Get a new 1000K 5 watt resistor (preferably the same make but probably does not matter but will look different, I think those are called wirewound resistor you can order some from valve storm) and remove bad one and solder in new one. You can take an Ohm reading across both leads to see if it still reads 1000k as some times they will still give a good reading even when they look smoked but I'd replace anyway for safety concerns. Don't attempt unless you know what you are doing and if you have the skills but have not worked on amps insides google and read up on it.
Then get a new power tube that matches or a whole quad.

Not sure why it would of happened because of removing fuses? maybe coincidence.

Thanks, I expect coincidence. I thought maybe when I put the fuse back in, the fuse holder hit the resistor and something grounded, but it was clear. I'm no tech. I can solder, use a multimeter, know how to read (barely) wiring/schematic diagrams, but I was afraid if I do anything it will void the warranty. Tubes have been replaced with eh6ca7's and rebiased... all ok for now.. I appreciate the help!

 Thanks man! all good! it's reading 986 across the resistor and everything biased up fine with the other tubes.. That's an aweful cool offer though man, thanks! But It seems O.K.

Hilltop sorry to hear of your problem, even the best of equipment can have things go wrong.
