I agree, but I think the internet has something to do with our decline for different reasons. Not because of the increased access to information, which does make “ruling” us more difficult, but because of the internet’s effect on socialization.

Yeah it’s a double edged sword, as while the increased access to info is good, it’s brought about this intense psyop counterinsurgency and pro censorship regime. I agree that it will ultimately be used to control people more than free them. But I was more just referring to the internet’s effect on how people relate to one another.

Ok that was interesting but not really an explanation, that just seems to be a symptom of what was happening and what is still happening which is globohomo/global homogenization. The consolidation of everything into its most efficient form due to internet supercharged global economics and the disparity between countries and how this is being leveraged by the transnational elite against the "normal" people of the countries in which they live.

The internet has been fine for me. Damn convenient in a lot of ways. The vast majority of humans are morons though and the internet only exacerbated the problem. Fucking AlGore

Being gay because you are a weird person or abuse victim with a mental disorder and like the same sex is different from being gay because it's part of your religious observances.
