Being the Lowballer Douche Bag (NGD)

We've been messaging back and forth. This time I was a little mean. I told him again the going rate for those guitars, and referenced some sold listings to make my point. Then I basically said he could sell it now, or I can wait a few more months and make my offer again, like I did last time.

He couldn't sell it after dropping the price to $1299, so he put it back to $1699, even though Google can find the link where the same guitar sold newer for $1600.

I mean, if I'm consistently the highest bid on it, am I really the low baller?
I wanna offer him like ten bucks less than your highest offer.

Broooo, you back? Hahaha.
Just read this on the pointy forums and it reminded me of this thread.

I at least came up on my offer, but I didn't exceed the value of the guitar. I was going to give him a few months before I try again. Maybe this fall.

I need to but more 4x12 cabs first.

Now is such a good time to buy if you can afford it. Good shit dude.

Just scored a fantastic deal on an LP Studio and only sent an offer after re-reading this thread yesterday.
Dude had it listed for 1299. I offered 859. Accepted.

The names have been changed to protect the innocent.

There was a guitar that popped up last fall that caught my eye. It's a high end guitar with good features made by a defunct and disgraced builder. These guitars are great, but don't get much money. I have two, and I have barely a grand invested in them both.

So I made a lowball offer to the seller. They had it listed at $2500, but I showed them where it sold for $1600 (new), and offered a grand. I got back a response similar to what you would find in the Off Topic section on here: A lecture on Chinese CNCs, the Election, the whole works. They countered at $1900, and I passed.

Months have passed. It's still listed. Now the price is set at $1700 (still more than new). Should I make another offer? Do I offer the same $1000, or do I offer $900 this time?

Here is the listing:
Jarrett Ibiza Platinum
Don't go buying the guitar! I'm going to lowball him again this fall.

Jump to new for the update.
That's ugly AF. To each their own, I guess.

I bought the guitar on the 22nd, but it didn't ship until the 27th. I get it, since some people celebrate Christmas and it doesn't count. The tracking number sat at "label created, awaiting item" until the 31st. I messaged them about it, and all of a sudden the tracking number says they got the guitar on the 31st, but I won't get it until the 7th. Maybe I'm just collecting my lowballer douche bag karma by having to wait half a month to get my guitar. It's 7 hours away, according to Google, so why does it take 16 days to get here.

The tracking updated, and now it's set to be delivered tomorrow. I've calmed down a little.

One more day...

Ha, it can be stressful waiting for shit, but in like 6 months, you won't remember that. All you'll remember is getting a great deal on a guitar you wanted. Congrats dude.

Congrats man!

I'm still getting it settled, but I'm really digging it so far. It plays as well as my other Jarretts, but I still need to finish the setup. It needs to settle and finish acclimating to this environment. Here are some pics.
