Wasn't sure if I should post this here but (Memorial)

Just a few things that were influenced in my life by meeting Jeff:

-Pursuing guitar setup/repair work.
-Teaching my etymological studies/discoveries instead of keeping them to myself.
-Introduced me to P90s - we kinda found them and fell in love with them together through upgrading a couple of his guitars.
-Many of the Planet Tone pickups I got to experience were due to upgrading his guitars with them.

This list could go on. He will be a core influence to my sound - though we didn't play similar genres really - our love of music and great tone was the same.

Some other odd facts:

I share the same name as his late brother he never got to know.

My wife has the same name and interests as his late wife.

I was born on the same month/day (not year) that his wife passed.

I was his 'God given brother' according to he and myself.

It is a blessing to experience a genuine friendship - there are too few of them in this world.

Sorry brother, but if he placed his faith in Christ finished work, he is experiencing things that are so far beyond our finite minds comprehension. Absolute and pure joy of the Lord! May the Lords perfect peace be with you and his family.

Amen to that. He definitely had done so. He shared his musical talents by leading worship services weekly until of late. The etymology work he encouraged me to share is related to ancient languages, including what is referred to today as 'Biblical Hebrew' and its predecessors and successors. Praise be to Christ, our King.

I was just made aware that my friend Jeff passed away. Several of his guitars and pieces of guitar have been shown on here and spoken about. A number of guitars across my bench were all his. He gave me a couple personal things the other week. I meant to get by and see him, but everything has been crazy and it's been a couple weeks since I was last over.

Not trying to dump this on y'all or anything - was tempted to put it into fallen brothers - as we talked about things all the time that were on the forum and stuff you guys said, etc. though he wasn't really a web user himself. We had many late nights discussing mods and enjoying new sounds we found together after the changes.

In my bench thread here are a number of his Epiphones and his Gibson he got as a dream guitar that I helped him find.

Really wild.

You just never know.

@VonBonfire You can remove Jeff from your prayer list - he has gone home to Father.
Very sorry to hear. My condolences. May him rest in peace.

I am very sorry to hear the sad news of your friends passing!

May you find solace in having had such a great friendship with him in life to send him off with dignity, respect and love into the next world of our Creator!

Please accept my condolences to you, your wife and family as well as Jeff's. Godspeed and may his soul rest in peace.🙏
