Always loved this. Notice at the .28 sec mark he is plugging into a Gibson GA-5T

Only us amp nerds would know that. I like how they hid that part to give you the illusion he is plugging into this massive mad scientist high voltage map.

I did this once, only the amp was a 1976 Orange OR-120, the cab was an Acoustic 2x15, and the guitar was a bass. I cranked the dials, flipped the switch, turned up the instrument, thwaped a string, and watched both voice coils shoot across the room as the paper on the cones shredded. The witness to this event still won't let me live it down.

I had a friend with vintage Marshall Superlead. We nicknamed it the violator. When you dig into the strings, the lights would dim in the room.
