This is the first positive thing I heard about the bones. My friend had one and it was terrible. He said he could get better tone by slapping his cock on a cinder block then from the bones. 🤣

I have nothing to add about the pumpkin since it was never produced…although someone on FB is selling one for $4,000. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wasn’t impressed at all with the Bones I had

A few guys I have amp fests with played frankhouser's amp, and it is apparently fucking special. We were supposed to have an amp fest here in austin and i thought i would get to try it, but it never materialized.

@RedB4Black let's make this happen

Big Wreck's album, Albatross, was recorded with a Bones (Ian's amp). Sounds good to me for that kind of music. You can even see it in the music video.

Back around 201? we had a DFW ampfest with an OG Fortin Cali 1987x and a Ceriatone chupacabra side by side. They were virtually identical, switches and all. Ther Ceriatone sounded better. I've never understood the Fortin hype?

Yeah, the Chupa is a copy of a Fortin Jose mod. I think the Meshuggah variation on that circuit is better though. Tighter, punchier, less fizzy. Still an 800 with diode clipping, but voiced less "brown".
