Best boost for Deliverance?

What's your favorite boost pedal to get a VHT/Fryette Deliverance into thrash/death metal territory? SD-1, OD808, Rat, something else?

In my case it'll be for the Synergy module into a PS-2A, but I figure boosts that work well with the real amp will likely work well with the Synergy into Fryette power amp

GE7, Koko, or OD808

If I had to pick one, it would probably be the Maxon though. After 20 years, none of the others really beat it, for what I like.

Try the MXR M-77 Custom Badass Modified OD. Pedals keep coming and going, but the MXR has been a mainstay for me for about 3 years. It'll do SD-1, or TS9 with the mid bump switch, plus you have the 100Hz knob for boost/cut and sculpting the low end. I got mine like new on Reverb 3 years ago for $60. It's way under the radar .

I prefer my SD-1W (standard mode) to my OD808 with my fryette, I had one of those custom badass MXRs but I sold it, it was too smooth.

Many guys boost Deliverance. When I had it, I prefer not boosting it. However, if I have to boost Deliverance, I would use boss sd-1.

I had great results boosting it with both an Airis Effects Savage Drive and a cheap TS9 / 808 clone.

I like the Airis Nebula for riffs, and for leads an 808 circuit with a clean blend like the Voodoo Labs sparkle drive

Yeah I don’t run boosts most of the time. But it still takes them well when I do.

another great choice would be a modded SD-1 ......... one where you can choose some clipping options ..... and select the clipping frequency to tighten or loosen things up as needed
