I vote slayer!!!

Shit! You might be right
I still find myself thinking I absolutely love the rough raw production of this ep. It is honestly my favorite Metallica album. Period. If breadfan was on it, it would be perfection. But the guitars just sound so flipping good, And you can hear Jason. It's awesome. Crash course in brain surgery makes me smile so much. Takes me right back.

Agree 100%. That’s the best sounding album they’ve ever done.

For the older fuckers here. This album cover was disturbingly fascinating when I was a child. Middle of Cold War and everytime you turn around we were about to be at DEFCON 1. I studied this album for hours on end. Not sure it would elicit the same response today.

I think people are confusing an album of cover songs, with albums with cool cover art.

My favourite cover album was the live Yellow Matter Custard vids with PG and Portnoy.

Favourite cover art, I don’t know, but I really liked the original art on Satriani’s Not Of This Earth better than the later.

This one was pretty impressive as well.

Very ambitious. I mean, 3 of a perfect pair.....and cemetery gates....and bicycle. Hard to believe this is almost 20 years old.

Jorn - "Song For Ronnie James"

Jorn Lande's tribute album to Dio absolutely kills. The only thing I don't like about it is the opening original track ("Song For Ronnie James"). After that, it's all fantastic covers, some I even like better than the Dio versions (sacrilege, I know).

Probably not be the best cover album, but I like the song choices on Fozzy's debut album.
