Can you make a clip, just the .44, clean...no FX? I have been wanting to check one of these out but I don't really use distortion...if the clean headroom is good, this might be perfect for me.

im also curious as to how much that EQ was influencing that tone, on next clip please demonstrate it without the EQ as well. man your getting us all pumped over this thing haha. checkout my mesa mark iv demo too guys

the clean headroom is very useable... it's all about gain structure really , i do suggest an eq to cut some of the ugly low mids out, and then you can actually crank the 44 more while it retains its clean headroom. without the eq cutting freq's it will break up faster.... So yes the eq is required to get the tone i was getting, along with that london....

Throw in one of those new POD HD's in place of the distortion pedal.

The 22 and 44 Mag pedals are awesome. Everytime someone demo's one in the store their jaw hits the floor. The 44 is PLENTY loud to hang at band volume. If you crank them , they get a fairly convincing dirt tone as well. Ive been VERY intrigued by the Bones series pedals and this video has put my curiousity into hyperdrive. Ive gotta try one now

I might have to try my Axe-FX with this guy...a two space rack and you've got any sound anyone could possibly need.

Awesome tone btw!

Wow. That sounds great!

I am actually thinking of picking one of these up to use with my ADA MP-1's now! I wonder how that would work out. Seems to me that for home use it would be great....maybe even the 22.

I am also very curious about those new Line 6 jobbers.

I tried this setup today..........it rocks!! Except I used a Boss EQ instead. This sounds better in person! I had a few guys around me and they all had these astonished looks on their faces.

the same set-up with the distortion pedal or a Line 6?

With the London Bones distortion. I bought the bones.

Which is better the tube version of the bones or this one as far as distortion goes I would like to hear a comparison.

not sure , dont have the tube version at the shop, but if it does sound better then its incredible because the london bones is killer as is !

even though I really don't like pedals with a preamp tube, I would think that the tube version would work even better in this scenario or any tube distortion pedal for that matter, like those Blackstar ones.
I've got a HTDIST that I'm kind of itching to try out with this thing. Piqued interest.

What's really neat is once you dial out some of the 800hz-1K and turn on the bright on the 44, you get a pretty decent clean. Then with the London Bones, you have the 2 different level settings which are also voice a little differently from each other with #2 being a little more agressive in the upper mids which lands up giving you a good rythm sound on #1 and a louder lead sound on #2 so it's kinda like having a 3 channel amp. A friend of mine is giving me a Boss EQ so I'm going back tomorrow to pick up the 44 mag. Thanks for this Nick! I can't wait to walk into rehearsal and watch the guys faces as I pull this stuff outa my pockets and plug it in!

From Plexi Plus to EH 44 Magnum!!!

Will be great to see the reaction! :D

I was looking for a distortion pedal and, after hearing this, I decided on the London Bones. Problem is, I can't find one. None of the music stores within driving distance from me carry them. It sucks living in the middle of a cornfield and having to web shop for everything. Regardless, for a minimal setup, it sounds pretty friggin' awesome...
