Bill Lawrence L-500-XL

I love my BL L500xl in my carvin, was just thinking I might need one for a different guitar as well
 
The Bill Lawrence USA 500XL is thee one. The Bill and Becky is OK but not as bright and biting as the USA. I think you can get these at Stewart Macdonald. I got mine from Stew Mac about 18 yrs. ago...It sounds great through a cranked Plexi...pushes the amp nicely... It is the pickup where the coils are submerged all the way full with epoxy..the Bill and Becky is not...Something about that USA model...and NO the Duncan DimeBag pup doesn't sound as cool... the USA is nice and clear with a lot of bite yet roars at the same time
Really old thread. I had the BL 500xl, but wasn't worth it compared to the SD dimebucker so I ended up selling it.

Try a vintage one if you can. Even better and not too expensive. I like the early chrome back L500L's even more, but my favorites are the L100's, L90's and L550L's. His original '70's/early '80's pickups were killer
