im not sure what makes him not a guitar icon??? if writing and selling more albums than im guessing any other band in the 90s with an instantly identifiable sound isnt enough, im not sure what is

I like the smashing pumpkins, but Corgan is not a guitar hero. James Iha was a lot better guitarrist and Corgan, that's why the band started sucking when Iha left.

Corgan wrote most of the Solo stuff that Iha played IIRC.
