So this song could have been great except for one thing : why the fuck does Black Sabbath start playing Roundabout by Yes in their own song . Inside joke maybe ? Idk

I had that one in 1978. I wore that sucker out. Very cool album. Underrated!

A chilling for telling of the future:

Just wish the album sounded better sonically. I just don’t find it a fun album to listen to, especially when earlier albums sound fuller and better produced.

Yeah, I agree. It's almost abrasive but not quite. LOL

You won’t change Me is a great Ozzy lost gem . And Dirty Women rules
All Moving Parts Stand Still is frikken awesome also .. I think the only song I don't like that much is Rock n Roll Doctor. All the rest are great (yes even It's ALright lol)

Brother, please explain this one to me.

Had a report that it's political so have to follow up.

AFAIC, even if it is political, it's only 7 words and a pic FFS so unless it's something dastardly that went over-my-head, no problem.

Thanks bro'.

I always felt bad about this album. It was Tony's baby, he was looking to go in new directions and spent a lot of time in the studio working on it. Album ended up coming out and getting trashed.

Dirty Women remained in Sabbath's setlist pretty constantly throughout their Ozzy reunions, and Tony always went extra hard on the outro solo.

just imagine if Tony and sabbath would have hire Bob Ezra or RTB when they wanted to expand musically on this album .

The album cover to me looks like a post modern art piece depiction of DJT’s and Melania’s infamous 2015 Golden Escalator ride when he announced his candidacy the first time. Both have two seemingly inanimate objects descending downwards on a yellowish-gold structure at the same angle while warring with each other. DJT being depicted as the NY city skyscraper ish looking thing and her the bleeding bowling pin. That also parallels Ozzy’s and the rest of Sabbath’s growing divide at the time. Quite symbolic and on point IMO. My observation was meant more as a reflection on both parties well documented icy and distant relationship rather than about any specific political issue per se.

And that concludes today’s episode of Deep Thoughts with thegame
