Sounded killer! Doug always sounds amazing. That amp sounds like it has some great low end. I have a buddy that opens for National acts all the time and saw him recently open for Brother Cane and he was playing thru his Blackstar head and sounded really good.

Problem with Blackstar HT amps is not that they sound plain bad ime, but they tend to have a compression in the high mids that sorta kill em with the band.

I watched some guy do a playthrough on YouTube. Sounded pretty good. But I’ve noticed Doug at Namm and this video the amp has quite the feedback. So do other amps. Just saying,

None of the Blackstar amps I played on sounded bad.
I thought they sounded better than most of the similar priced amps.
I haven't actually tried this model. I don't judge gear from videos or reviews. Only by actually playing on it.

Some really good sounding pedals as well..that Chinese disto+ clone is interesting. Graphic eq on board to tighten it up. Good idea. Fuzz sounds great too

DA has never "played" a scammeron Aldrich his amps were modded by John Suhr.

I definitely remember Don Barzini!!!! Funny and cool guy!!! Hung out with him a couple of times when I lived in Illinois. He helped me with my Gower Killer Kali++ when it started blowing power tubes.I will respond in the manner of the infamous Don Barzini for those who remember who he was.

Not true. Doug had a Cameron modded Marshall and used it for parts on the Dio album, even though most was the Suhr. That’s not a lie.

In that pic…. I think there is a Cameron modded Standel, a Suhr (maybe Golub) modded Marshall, a Cameron modded Marshall, and possibly a Roccaforte modded Marshall.
