Why the best? You just need one that isn't shitty. What are you wanting to get done? This is such a broad swing with your post that there simply isn't a one size fits all answer, and likely could be several techs locally that could do what you want.

I could tell you were new as soon as you said Fortin is backed up.

The dude hasn’t taken on mods for amps in almost a decade.

There’s enough information and expertise here that If you tell us what you want, we could tell you what to change for free.

If you want a certain builders captured tone however, then that’s where sending it somewhere comes into play.

So do you just want it gained up to your own preference or do you want a certain builders tonal pallet? And forget Fortin - we are scum under his foot that built his credit but he won’t give the members of this forum the time of day for it.
